Invercargill
I found Queens Park here in Invercargill to be just magnificent. So many different aspects to it and spread over a very large area right in the middle of town. Here's a few pics.
Yes, a very nice cricket ground in there too, along with the kaka and other birds including kea and an animal enclosure with deer wallabies etc. There is also a Japanese Zen garden along with the usual flowers and duck ponds.
Whilst walking around the town I came across a classic car warehouse - the owner let me sit inside a Corvette, Camaro and Mustang. Satisfied the boy in me!!
And the Burt Monroe statue and a grand old watertower to round things out.
